Trudy Ann's Chai & SpicesTrudy Ann’s Chai was born from a cherished family tradition that began in 1988 with a perfect cup of masala chai. The masala (a mix of spices) is brewed with the chai (tea), lovingly crafted by Aunty Pramila. Today, the family carries on this tradition, often welcoming their friends for a 4pm cup of tea, which has become a favourite part of the day. They only prepare organic food at home. With the quest to find organic teas and spices rather than the inorganic, generic products at the markets, which led to the creation of Trudy Ann’s Chai. Over the years, they have crafted a perfect blend of spices for a delicious cup of masala chai, crafted in small batches using all organic ingredients without additives or essential oils. The flavors really come directly from the natural ingredients! Trudy Ann’s Chai black tea comes from Assam, India, and the Rooibos tea comes from South Africa. Each batch of tea is obtained immediately after harvest, ensuring freshness in every cup. The spices come from small organic farms around the world, reinforcing their dedication to quality and authenticity. The cooking spices are from old family recipes, and are dry-roasted before grinding, enhancing their flavours.

Pudgy Pigeon Kombucha BrewIt all started when the founder of Pudgy Pigeon Kombucha Brew made Kombucha in Wellington, New Zealand. The idea of Pudgy Pigeon is nicknamed after the Kererū from Aotearoa, also known as the New Zealand Wood Pigeon, a protected bird with a taste for fermented fruit. Kererū have earned a reputation as the drunkest bird in New Zealand, and have been known to fall from trees after consuming rotting fruit left lying on the ground. During the summer, when fruit is abundant, drunk kererū are sometimes taken to wildlife centres to sober up. They make authentic Kombucha, promoting health, wellness, and universal connection. Their kombucha is made in small batches, also using medicinal herbs, fresh produce, no preservatives, and natural carbonation.

From Hands of SJR is the outcome of a drive to continue pursuing creative outlets incorporating natural and historical themes with the flexibility to grow in varying directions. Sarah’s work is influenced heavily by a life-long admiration and respect for the less appreciated taxa around us and will enthusiastically catch by goers with anecdotes about her experience with maternity bat colonies, trials in self-taught taxidermy, fine green teas, Byzantine pottery, and most any ology.
